About Us

Vicky – Founder of Sandy Paws

Vicky started the business in November 2008 and Sandy Paws has since grown in leaps and bounds!

She is degree qualified in Zoology (BSc Hons) and has plenty of experience working with animals as a dog walker and carer, as a zoo-keeper at Taronga Zoo, as a wrangler at Sydney’s Kindifarm, as a carer at the RSPCA in the UK, at various kennels, veterinary surgeries, farms, equestrian centres, conservation programmes and as a horseback safari back-up guide in South Africa. Additionally she worked as a Research Assistant at the Australian Veterinary Association and as a Project Manager at various non-animal related companies.

Vicky is now taking a step back from the walking itself to start a family, however is still involved in the admin side.

Jennie – Chief Dog Wrangler

Jennie is our full-time dog walker and pet care provider.  She has two adorable dogs of her own, and considers caring for your pets to be “seriously the best job ever”.

The Sandy Paws dogs just adore her and always greet her with their waggliest tails and big smiles when she arrives to collect them 🙂

Jennie collects the dogs in the specially adapted and air-conditioned Dogmobile each day and entertains our furry customers with her huge selection of squeaky balls and toys.

Richelle – Emergency Dog Walker

Richelle joined Sandy Paws in 2012.  She has a Certificate III in Animal Care and although she is taking a step back from regular Sandy Paws work in order to pursue full time study, we are very lucky that she will still be on hand to fill in from time to time if needed.

Sally – Marketing, Administration, Animal Carer & Dog Walker

Sally is Vicky’s sister, making Sandy Paws a family-run business! With her varied background in business, IT, dietetics and nutrition as well as caring for all kinds of animals from hamsters, gerbils and stick-insects through to guinea pigs, rabbits, cats, dogs and ponies, she was keen to get stuck in!

Sally assists with Sandy Paws marketing and administration as well as working as an animal carer/dog walker from time to time.
